A MAN has died following a single-vehicle crash in Bobs Farm in the early hours of Thursday morning.

About 12.10am emergency services were called to Nelson Bay Road, following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest a silver Holden Commodore was travelling north on Nelson Bay Road when it left the roadway and crashed into a light pole.
The driver and only occupant, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
No one else was injured during the incident.
The man’s death is the ninth fataility on Port Stephens roads this year, compared to four for the same period in 2015.
A crime scene was established by officers from Port Stephens Local Area Command and investigations are continuing.
