Ms Swanson has moved into previous member Bob Baldwin’s old office in Raymond Terrace, a move which she said will save tax payers from $300,000 – $500,000 and will use Mr Baldwin’s old car.
With a permanent office, it is full steam ahead for the new member.
Ms Swanson will attend a meeting at Williamtown on Wednesday and travel to Canberra on Thursday afternoon for the shadow ministry announcement.
Ms Swanson said she plans to get involved in several parliamentary committees including defence and employment, and will work to keep the government accountable for their election commitments including the $15 million pledge for Testers Hollow.
