Police from the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad were acting on a tip-off when they intercepted a freight package travelling between the two states, discovering three kilograms of MDMA.
Fifty eight-year-old Stephen Garland was arrested at Darwin River in the Northern Territory on Thursday evening and was extradited to Sydney on Saturday, where he was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs.
A second man from Breakfast Point, also a member of the Nomads, was arrested at a storage facility in Villawood on Friday afternoon.
The 23-year-old was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs.
Both men were refused bail and were due to face court in Parramatta on Sunday.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
