The club recently received a $4000 grant over two years, the majority of which will go towards new equipment for the junior and senior teams.
“Cricket balls are a major expense for us. Each team needs a new ball each game, so it adds up,” said club senior secretary Dave Farmer.
“They cost between $60 to $80 a ball. So this grant will really help,” Mr. Farmer said.
The grant was provided by the Commonwealth Bank Raymond Terrace branch.
Andrew Turner, from the Commonwealth Bank, said the office was proud of its community support and involvement.
Two marquees were also donated, and will be used by the parents at matches.
