Bureau of Meteorology figures show that Nelson Bay received only 9.3 millimetres over the weekend. This takes the monthly total to 22mm - still well behind the February mean of 111.9mm.
Williamtown had received only 10mm before the weekend’s storm activity – boosted to 39.2mm as of Monday morning.
Yet climate statistics show a February mean of 119.2mm for Williamtown.
