A THREE-YEAR-OLD has walked away from a nasty head-on crash on the Central Coast that saw two people rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

A south-bound Mitsubishi Magna and north-bound Toyota Camry collided on the old Pacific Highway at Wadalba, near Wyong, about 12.30pm on Monday, forcing the closure of the road for several hours.
Police said the male driver was trapped in the car before he was cut free. He was flown to John Hunter Hospital with a female passenger. Police said the pair were in a critical condition as they were taken to hospital.
A three-year-old sitting in the back seat was able to escape uninjured.
The male driver of the Camry was taken to hospital by ambulance with leg and chest injuries.
The road was closed in both directions for four hours as crash investigators assessed the scene.
