Now that the extra sand trucks are carting so much more sand every day, I notice how these two roads are becoming rough.
Particularly where the trucks come from their loading road onto Nelson Bay Road.
On Cabbage Tree Road it is becoming very uneven south of Masonite Road, from where it was last reconstructed.
The council or more importantly sand operators want to cart even more.
So what will happen to our roads then?
Also I notice sand trucks entering to go to be loaded are washing out the truck bodies.
Where is this water going and what is been washed out?

Heartbroken by cat death
To the person who left my much-loved cat to die on the road after you hit him with your car on Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay at around 6pm on Friday, May 12 – please know I have lost my little friend who gave me so much happiness.
I am heartbroken.

Thanks for support
On behalf of the Leukaemia Foundation, I would like to say a big thank you to readers for their incredible support of World’s Greatest Shave this year.
The extraordinary people who shaved or coloured and their generous sponsors have now raised an incredible $4,920,000 in NSW alone, helping to fund projects that will make a genuine difference to local families facing blood cancer.
The money will now be used to provide safe and comfortable accommodation in the city for families living in regional NSW so they can more easily access life-saving treatment.
It also means we can offer free transport, counselling, information and practical support to the 60,000 Australians living with a blood cancer.
Meanwhile, researchers funded by our supporters are working tirelessly to discover safer and more effective treatments.
Although their critical research is improving survival rates, sadly an Australian still loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.
But thanks to those taking part in World’s Greatest Shave, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of $5.6 million in NSW.
There is still time for people to sign up or make a donation atwww.worldsgreatestshave.com.au.
Thanks to you, the Leukaemia Foundation will be able to help more Australians with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related disorders survive and live a better quality of life.

Build for community
Having lived 33 years in Port Stephens, I would be one of the first to sing praises for our 'commercial-thinking' council for the development of Salamander Way and the use of the proceeds.
So I was not surprised to see the front page headline ‘Build it? 'Yes, we can’" (Examiner, Thursday, May 18), referring to the Soldiers Point development 'for ratepayers'.
However, in my old age, I would encouraged council to be more community-thinking instead.
Perhaps, sixteen accessible two-bedroom houses with an en suite bathroom, single garage and landscaped gardens, could be built at the same site in Soldiers Point, for the aged and disabled.
By having a cross-section of the population in an area, council could enrich the community more than money can buy.
