“The students were thrilled to meet our most recent rescue donkey, ‘Blinky’,” sanctuary manager and secretary Leanne “Annie” Atkins said.

“This sweet little jenny was found on a 2000 acre property and had never had human contact or basic care such as hoof trimming.”

‘Blinky’ will also be the star attraction at the annual Picnic with the Donkeys fundraiser on Sunday, October 1, in celebration of World Animal Week.

The sanctuary is a charity organisation that exists solely on fundraising events and donations.
