The poppies greeted veterans and their families who sought refreshments after the Bay service at Apex Park.
Last year she knitted 100 red poppies, an additional eight larger poppies for the Bay men who served in WWI and five purple poppies to pay tribute to the service of animals in battle.
Additionally, soil will be collected following the Nelson Bay and Raymond Terrace services.
This soil will be used in a memorial art installation in Sydney’s Hyde Park to mark the centenary of Armistice Day in 2018. Read more about the soil collection project here.
