Emergency services responded to single vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway near Karuah on Monday that hospitalised the car’s occupants.

Paramedics treated a woman, 59, and a man aged about 60, at the scene of the roll over, shortly after 8am.
The woman sustained chest and pelvic injuries in the crash while the man was treated for head and possible spinal injuries.
The south bound lane was closed near the Tarean Road exit while the Westpac Rescue Helicopter transferred the man to the John Hunter Hospital. The woman was also taken to the John Hunter via ambulance.
All south bound traffic was diverted off the highway for about three hours.
