Sure, there’s the usual chit chat along the lines of, ‘oh, did you hear?’ But in this case, the ‘talk’ that some lucky devil had won the lottery locally, rang loud and true.
“Someone from work said the newsagency was talking about it – that they’d sold a winning ticket, and we knew we had bought our ticket there,” the syndicate leader told NSW Lotteries.
“We jumped online and saw we had the winning entry.”
The private syndicate had just won the $100,000 first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10230. The winning ticket bought from Lakeside Village Newsagency.
It transformed what would have been any other humpday.
“It’s beautiful, It’s the best ending we’ve had to a work day ever!
“There’s three of us in the syndicate – all mates from work. We’ve never won anything like this before,” he said.
The syndicate leader said he planned to take a break from work.
“I would like to go on a holiday, and the other boys want to go on a holiday too – but not together,” he said.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $13 million for draw 1101 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.49 million for draw 10231.
