Bulahdelah band Brewhaha to rock, rattle 'n' roll November festival

The four-piece pub rock band  of Brett Hall, Alex Lawrence, Trent Lamborn and Dylan Kealy said they were pumped to be playing the Bulahdelah Rock, Rattle’n’Roll Festival, which will be held in the town on November 1 and 2.

‘‘We’re absolutely stoked,’’  Lawrence said.

The band had their first ‘‘jam session’’ in September last year and played their first gig in November.

Only a year later – on Saturday, November 1 – the band will be opening for famous Aussie pub rock group the Radiators at the Plough Inn Hotel and for the Rattlesnakes in the main street of Bulahdelah on the Sunday as part of the festival.

‘‘We’re so rapt to be supporting the Radiators,’’  Lawrence said.

 Lawrence, the lead singer, said Brewhaha played a mix of well-known pub rock songs as well as modern tunes, influenced by the young guys  Lamborn, the drummer, and  Kealy on bass.

Dave Saul, publicity officer for the Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce who are hosting the festival, said they were excited to be able to support a ‘‘great local talent’’ and to offer them the opportunity to play to a large audience.

“We’ve got some excellent bands lined up this year as well as hundreds of classic cars, pony rides and an enormous market over the whole weekend,’’ Mr Saul said.

‘‘We are thrilled to have been able to snag Brewhaha to play also.

‘‘These guys are an awesome local act and will add a huge amount to the overall feel of the weekend,’’ Mr Saul said. 

Before their appearance at the Plough Inn Hotel in November, the band will play a gig there on August 30.
