Individuals have until 5pm on Friday, January 29, to submit their expression of interest.
Adopted by the council in November, the strategy aims to make Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae a strong regional centre and a prominent place to live, work and play.
The council’s economic development coordinator Jane Perrin said that the panel would play a key role in the long term future of Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae.
“Implementation panel members will work closely with the council staff to activate the adopted strategy which accommodates for anticipated growth in the region to 2031,” Ms Perrin said.
“It’s an exciting process and those involved will be making a real contribution to their community both today and into the future.”
Membership will be based on an individual’s demonstrated knowledge of issues relating to Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae; an ability to represent broad community interests; and a commitment and availability to attend meetings.
The panel’s terms of reference will be available for viewing from Thursday, December 17, at the council’s administration building or online at portstephens.nsw.gov.au.
Expressions of interest should be addressed to Port Stephens Council, PO Box 42, Raymond Terrace 2324 or toed@portstephens.nsw.gov.au quoting file number PSC2009-09539.
