Lawrence, in town for a Newcastle gig on Sunday, told the Examiner she was keen to do the June long weekend event.
“I would love to come back,” Lawrence said.
“Someone just needs to give me a call.”
Lawrence was last at Bluewater in 2015.
“I had a really good time, I remember,” she said.
“I’m sure Catherine Britt and I could do an acoustic set.”
Lawrence, a Golden Guitar winner in 2015 and CMC Female Artist of the Year for 2015-16, has enjoyed a long association with Bluewater.
Right back to the very first gig of the the very first festival in 2006.
“I remember it vividly,” Bluewater founder Peter Clough said.
Through his involvement with Tomaree Business Chamber he’s come back to the fray as a key member of this year’s festival.
“She was on the Stockton Street stage and it was raining,” Mr Clough said.
“She was drenched but she had this powerful country voice.”
Her 2015 performance at Bluewater was with Kristy Lee Akers at Soldiers Point Bowling Club.
Britt has put in back-to-back appearances at Bluewater, for good measure.
“We would love to have Amber and Catherine back if we can make it work,” Mr Clough said.
Preparations for the 2017 event are well advanced.
Tickets to select events are already on sale at bluewatercountrymusic.com.
Mudgee’s country answer the boy band, Brothers3, are signed on.
“We’re still in negotiations with a major country music artist,” Mr Clough said.
“Two of them actually. Keith [Urban] just slipped through our fingers unfortunately.”
Bluewater Country Music Festival is on June 8 to 12.
