Kate Ritchie appears on the cover of Façon magazine with a 12-page photo spread featuring the Anchorage Hotel

Her most recent achievement is striking a glamorous pose for the latest edition of Newcastle-based fasion magazine Façon after a photo shoot at the Anchorage Port Stephens.

The issue was based around iconic Australians and included a 12-page piece with the former Home and Away star.

The piece featured the Port Stephens photo shoot alongside an interview with Ms Ritchie, focusing on her curiosity about where she belongs.

“I’m always questioning and always wondering whether I’m where I’m meant to be, or if there are things I need to change,” the actress, radio presenter and author said.

The fourth edition of the magazine, which is created at Wickham, hit newsstands last Thursday.

Alongside the luxury shots poolside at the Corlette resort, Ms Ritchie also appeared on a sailing shoot aboard Blue Water Sailing, capturing a number of “go-to spots” for travellers.

Magazine editor Lara Lupish, who organised the locations for Ms Ritchie’s shoot, revealed that Port Stephens featured heavily due to her love for the area.

“Port Stephens is one of my favourite places in the world to getaway and relax and I wanted to showcase it to the nation in my luxury fashion magazine,” Ms Lupish said.

As well as the piece on Kate Ritchie, it features Q&As with Cate Blanchett, Dannii Minogue and Ita Buttrose.

Ms Lupish said the edition featured “a stellar line up of talent” and “some really personal insights, reflections and plans for 2018”.

“Having some of Australia’s biggest stars speak to us and trust us with their story is a testament to the quality of work that we are producing.”

Ms Lupish also commented on the aim of the Hunter-based fashion magazine – a desire by all involved to have a “world class publication come out of Newcastle”.

“We’re as good as a team in Sydney, Melbourne or London. I firmly believe that.”

The magazine blends regional, national and international brands.

“We’re trying to put Newcastle fashion on a national stage,” she said.

Newcastle City Council has supported the magazine for three years with economic development grants worth about $20,000 in total.

The magazine also runs a program for interns, which gives media and fashion students the opportunity to gain big city experience in Newcastle.
