A MAN has been killed after he was struck by a car in Port Stephens on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Nelson Bay Road at Fullerton Cove shortly after 9pm following reports of a pedestrian accident.
The man had not been identified on Sunday but was believed to be aged in his 60s.
He died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and police began an investigation.
The 19-year-old female driver was not injured but was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police appealed for public assistance to help identify the man.
“He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 60s and with balding grey hair,” a police statement said.
“The man was wearing a dark blue jumper and black shorts, along with black socks and thongs.”
It is the second pedestrian accident in the Hunter in less than a week, after a 79-year-old man died on the Pacific Highway at Belmont on Thursday night.
That man also died at the scene.
Police were investigating both pedestrian fatalities and urged anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report into both accidents will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
