Hugh’s father, Alex, is also in the hospital in a stable condition, but another adult admitted to RNS after the accident has been discharged.
Police said on Sunday that their investigation into the fire was continuing, although their primary concern was the health and recovery of the two victims still in hospital.
Hugh, 16, suffered severe burns to his face, arms and torso after an accelerant, believed to be methylated spirits, was thrown on the fire.
