The Riot FM team will present Punk Rocky Horror – a “showcase and celebration of local rock horrors” – at Anna Bay Tavern on Saturday, September 28.
Kicking off after the joker poker, the night will include performances from four Port Stephens and Newcastle punk and metal acts and bands.
Andrew “Woody” Wood and Joel Jakes from punk outfit Plus Many More are the first act up, at 8pm.
Beach punk band Equanimity, featuring Josh Morgan, will take to the stage at 8.45pm followed by Newcastle heavy hitting cabaret punks The Pits at 9.45pm.
The three acts build to Riot FM’s own Rohan Khan Brown who will perform a punk rock renditions of the “cream of the Rocky Horror crop”.
Brown will be joined on stage, from 10.45pm, by Morgan as Punk Rocky Horror.
“With four bands [performing] for absolutely free you can’t afford to stay home,” Brown said.
“Drag and dress up is recommended but not required. But there are prizes for best dressed.”
