The group of conferees originally hailed from the Philippines, New Zealand, Sudan, Thailand, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Northern Ireland and India.
But they became fully fledged Aussies in Raymond Terrace on Monday morning after taking the Australian citizenship oath or affirmation the Port Stephens Council chambers.
The citizenship ceremony was led by Port Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer.
Paterson MP Meryl Swanson and councillors Giacomo Arnott and Glen Dunkley were also in attendance.
The conferees were:
Angelo and Nena Bandilla, Vaughan Staples, Martin Akugpeir, Rena Brejwo, Chanita Doyle, Adrian Joyce, Precious Mbara, Shaun McKeon, James Thornton, Jacqueline Wake, Lina Bryukhova, Kirill Solodyankin, Odhran Dickinson, Suman Lata, Saffron Quantrell and Andrew Tentori.
