Greetings from Australia's biggest motorsport capital.
It's Bathurst, not Melbourne, for those wondering!
In this wide, brown land that we call home there are a lot of bigs - just think the Big Banana, the Big Ned Kelly, the Big Lobster and of course the Big Wickets in Tasmania.
We live on the biggest island (a not too shabby 7,692,024 square kilometres) and we pride ourselves on having a big heart and an even bigger sense of humour.
This week we can add a few more 'bigs' to the list.
Australia's favourite woman of tennis, Ash Barty, is just about the biggest name on everyone's lips and the hottest tip to win Wimbledon.
Which explains why there was a big fuss from tennis fans over the TV coverage from Wimbledon this week.
Journalist Chris Dutton at The Canberra Times explains why he thinks it was right to show the Nick Krygios match instead of Barty's game.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Territory there's not much bigger than the annual Territory Day.
For the five hours between 6pm and 11pm on July 1, the NT becomes the only place in Australia where everyday citizens are legally allowed to ignite fireworks.
It'd be easy to jump to all sorts of conclusions about the safety elements of such an event, and certainly there were some issues for local fire fighters to deal with, but emergency services told the Katherine Times there was a significant decrease in fires and hospitalisations this year.
If you're looking for something else to add to your list of bigs, do not miss the inaugural Australia's Biggest Bogan Festival which is on in Central-West NSW on July 12 and 13.
Hold on to your mullet, don't forget to let Shazza and Dazza know, then slip on your best footy shorts, thongs and get your favourite flanno out of the dirty clothes basket.
Some events are being held in the village of Bogan Gate (where else?!), while others are on across the Parkes, Condobolin and Forbes shires.
During the festival, the Bogan Mobile (a black, matte Hyundai Lantra) will be auctioned off.
