Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions for Fitzgerald Bridge on Seaham Road at Raymond Terrace from next week for maintenance work.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work including bridge cleaning and maintenance work, footpath repairs, joint repairs, upgrading approach barriers and installation of signage from Monday, September 14.
Initial work will be carried out at night between 7pm and 5am from Monday to Thursday and is expected to completed in three weeks, weather permitting.
Work will then start during the day and be carried out between 7am and 5pm from Monday to Thursday and is expected to completed in three months, weather permitting.
An additional week of night work will be required at the end of the project, with timing to be confirmed closer to the date.
Lane closures and a 40 km/h speed limit will be in place during night work hours and may affect travel times.
Day time work will take place underneath the bridge but on occasions, there will be minimal traffic impacts that may affect travel times.
Pedestrian access to the footpath may be obstructed during the work and at these times, pedestrians will be escorted through the work area for their safety.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
