A Stockton man was due to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday after he allegedly threw a bag with more than $30,000 cash and illicit drugs into a yard while fleeing police.

About 10.45pm on Saturday police from the Port Stephens-Hunter district were conducting inquiries in the Raymond Terrace area when they attempted to speak to a man in Parkway Avenue.
It is alleged the man, aged 23, fled on foot and threw a bag into a residential property on Wahroonga Street.
The man was arrested a short time later and the bag was recovered.
During a search of the bag, police allegedly seized 100 grams of a substance believed to be methylamphetamine, commonly known as the drug ice, 80 grams of an unknown white powder, prescription medication and $32,840 cash.
All items will be forensically examined, police said.
The man was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug - indictable, two counts of possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was formally refused bail in Newcastle Bail Court on Sunday and was appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday.
