Fingal Twilight Markets offers a selection of artisan and handmade products. There are more than 30 stalls, hot food, drinks and sweet treats plus live music, pet friendly, kids playground and fun for the whole family.
Medowie Markets
December 11: Bull 'N Bush Hotel, Ferodale Road. Time: 8.30am-12pm.
The community markets are held in the carpark of the hotel on the second Saturday of the month.
Tomaree Markets
December 12: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 8am-2pm.
Held the second and fourth Sunday of the month. An outdoor market with a variety of stalls. The market will go ahead on December 26 (Boxing Day). The Australia Day markets will return January 26. Interested sellers can contact Tomaree Markets on Facebook.
Carols at the Bay
December 12: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 5.30pm-9pm. Cost: Free.
Community performances will begin at 5.30pm before the main performance at 7.30pm, a visit by Santa about 8pm and fireworks at 9pm. Performances from 7.30pm from The Studio Music Academy at Taylors Beach and Hope UC led by Darlene Zschech. Other: Nativity stall for photos, barbecue, food and beverage vans. Take a blanket and chairs.

Tilligerry RFS lolly run
December 18: Williamtown and Salt Ash. Time: 3pm.
Williamtown/Salt Ash Rural Fire Brigade will team up with Santa to drive around the streets of Williamtown and Salt Ash to deliver lollies to children.
Raymond Terrace market
December 19: Raymond Terrace Senior Citizens and Community Hall, 17E Irrawang Street. Time: 8am-1pm.
Raymond Terrace Charity Market offers a variety of stalls including Christmas gifts and ideas, hot food, Tupperware, botanical remedies, candles, hand crafts, jewelry and bric-a-brac.
Raymond Terrace lolly run
December 19: Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae. Time: 9am-8.30pm.
Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue will escort Santa through the residential streets of Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae handing out lolly bags to children. Santa will once again be riding on a Harley Davidson and firefighters on the truck. Santa's route and timings will be posted in real time on the Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue Facebook page on the day.

Tanilba House traditional high tea
December 19: Tanilba House, Tanilba Bay. Time: 10.30am and 1.30pm. Cost: $65 per person, $45 children under 12
High tea at Tanilba House, established in 1831, consists of tea, coffee and a selection of sweet and savoury delicacies from Amanda Douglass presented on fine bone china the 'old fashioned way'. Tea is served in the historic house's conservatory and on the verandah overlooking the gardens and beautiful Tanilba Bay. The event includes a history talk and a tour of the house and grounds. Fingal Bay Santa run
December 24: Fingal Bay. Time: 2.30pm.
Santa, Fingal Bay Rural Fire Brigade and the fire truck will leave the station at 2.30pm and make its way through Fingal Bay. Residents are encouraged to track Santa's progress on the brigade's Facebook page on the day and say g'day when Santa is in the area.
