What's on: Your guide to events in Port Stephens

A family friendly twilight market by Birubi Beach featuring 80 stalls, live music and food vendors. Skatepark and playground located nearby for children.

Titan Martial Arts instructors Natasha and Michael Omay will host a free self defence seminar for females and teens aged 14 and above. Learn self defence techniques from in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo and Kickboxing disciplines.

March 26: Boyd Oval, Medowie. Time: 10.30am-5pm. Cost: $45 (children), $55 (adult), $100 (2A, 2C).

Medowie and Districts Rugby Union Club will launch its new clubhouse with a colour fun run. There will be a run for juniors (under 12s) in the morning starting at 11am and for adults (12 years and above) at 1pm. First there will be an inflatable obstacle course, followed by a colour run. March 27: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 8am-2pm

Held the second and fourth Sunday of the month. An outdoor market with variety of handmade art and craft stalls, designer goods, collectables, plants, many unique items, gourmet artisan food and barista coffee.

March 29: Apex Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 7am-8am. Cost: Free but bookings required.

The Men's Health Education Rural Van will stop in Raymond Terrace for two days to provide free check-ups for men. Services include blood pressure, blood sugar levels and cholesterol checks. The service has been provided by the Rotary clubs of Raymond Terrace and Warners Bay during the NSW Seniors Festival.

April 1: Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace. Time: 4pm-8pm.

A collaboration between Homegrown Markets and Port Stephens Council, the first It's On x Homegrown Summer Nights Market in Raymond Terrace is family friendly, bursting with good vibes, acoustic music, great street food and kids activities.

April 2: Nelson Bay Foreshore, Victoria Parade. Time: 4pm-8pm.

The Homegrown Markets specialises in handmade, eco and local designs.

April 10: Apex Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 4pm-8pm (move starts 6pm). Cost: Free.

Grab your picnic rugs, a takeaway dinner from a Bay restaurant and some snacks for the kids and head down to Nelson Bay for some live music and a screening of Space Jam: A New Legacy in Apex Park as part of Port Stephens Council's It's on! program of events.
