The Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group is a vital part of the Port Stephens community, each year helping about 50 women who are undergoing treatment.
The free service, which is run by volunteers, helps patients by driving them to and from doctors and treatment appointments, and offers house cleaning and lawn maintenance.
They also offer help with wigs, surgical sleeves and prostheses.
