From 10am on October 11, the Salamander Bay station will be open for residents to have a look around.
"The community is invited along to meet the presenters and have a conducted tour of the studios," the station's Peter Clough said.
Port Stephens FM, which broadcasts on FM frequency 100.9, has come a long way in 21 years.
Starting out in a caravan at Wanda Beach headland, the station now has a permanent home in Salamander Bay and 40 volunteer presenters.
Seven presenters have been with the station for close to its entire history - Brian Watson-Will, Sid Greedy, John Fuller, Geoff Collins, Jenny Koller, Alan Koller and Robbie Towns.
Meg McGrath joined Port Stephens FM four years ago. She said she went from having zero experience as a radio presenter to interviewing national and international music artists and community leaders, and reviewing national and international concerts and festivals.
Port Stephens FM is at the Tomaree Library and Community Centre.
