"Anzac Day is a day for all Australians and I thank the Port Stephens community for its ongoing support by remembering those who have paid the ultimate price in service to our nation," AIRCDRE Roberton said.
"This Anzac Day, we remember not only those who served in 1915, but every one of our service men and women who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations."
AIRCDRE Roberton said there were approximately 300 ADF members from RAAF Williamtown currently deployed on operations.
"They are continuing the Anzac spirit whilst serving Australia's national interests in many countries around the world. I thank those men and women for the exceptional job they are doing and I acknowledge the vital role of all those family members of deployed personnel who provide support and boost the morale of their deployed loved ones."
Australia is this year commemorating 100 years since the nation's involvement in the First World War and the Gallipoli landing. AIRCDRE Robertson would be participating in the dawn service and reviewing the march in the Newcastle parade.
