The Nelson Bay-based choir will "sing for peace" at Soldiers Point Bowling Club from 11am on Sunday, September 20.
The event, called One Day, One Choir, is an International Peace Day initiative which aims to bring voices from around the world together in song at the same time on the same day to form a global choir.
The SeaSide Singers will perform rehearsed songs on the day and will invite voices from the community to join them in singing four peace songs.
Individuals or groups from schools, churches or community organisations were welcome.
The SeaSide Singers are organising two rehearsals prior to the concert for those who want to sing along.
For details phone Jeanette Antrum on 4984 6483 or Terry Tebo on 4984 7257.
In conjunction with the peace concert, the SeaSide Singers are running a writing competition in three categories: adult, high school and primary school.
Write a poem, an essay or a song around the theme "what peace means to me", and send it to the SeaSide Singers at PO Box 267, Nelson Bay NSW 2315.
Winners will have their entries read out and their prize awarded at the peace concert.
Entry forms available by phoning Antrum. Entries must be received by September 11 to be eligible.
