Matters Speaking is an online collective of jewellery pieces made by the sisters with inspirational words that are created and shared to inspire.
“Each piece of jewellery we create is made with love and has a different meaning, said Jess Sharp, one half of Matters Speaking.
“And that meaning connects with people in different ways, as does our writing.”
After a stellar 2016, which saw the brand participate in Vogue Fashion's Night Out, an enormous shopping event and sales opportunity, the sisters are hitting the ground running in 2017.
Next month, the women will be travelling to Sydney for Life Instyle. As Australia's only boutique trade event showcasing brands and products, it is an opportunity for the sisters behind Matters Speaking to reach a bigger market. More than 6,000 decision makers in the retail sphere are expected to be at the trade show over the four days.
“It’s the biggest trade show for our industry, so we are looking to expand our stockists and to create new relationships with leading designers and brands,” Ms Sharp said.
As the sisters look to expand their brand via the trade show, Matters Speaking will also offer an online motivation workshop in February titled ‘Let it be love’. Ms Sharp said the soul of the business is ‘anything is possible’ and ‘celebrate who you are’.
Adding that this ethos is embedded in their jewellery designs, blog, and now their online workshop.
“Once a new year has begun, people place a lot of expectations on themselves to achieve huge goals, and feel like a failure if they don’t achieve them.
“This workshop is all about focusing on the small things which can help lead to bigger, more amazing opportunities. We will be sending our workshop participants an abundance of love, rituals, intentions and universal truths via email so they can start each day in a positive, life changing way,” Ms Sharp said.
“That’s what Matters Speaking is all about. Creating and inspiring,” she said.
