Book launch
I wish to extend an open invitation to all those who wish to attend the Fingal Bay Sports Club launch of my books on Friday, November 9 commencing at 1pm.
Scott Levi, ABC presenter of popular program ‘The Big Fish’ will launch the books along with local Fingal photographer Rodd Owen and artist Ileana Clarke.
Both Rodd and Ileana will be displaying their work for all to see. Hope to see you there.
Snapper catches
Reports are rolling in thick and fast of excellent snapper catches over all the reefs from Birubi north to Broughton Island. There is a real popularity swing to chasing snapper out of a kayak.
Fingal Beach, particularly early morning, provides a perfect, calm launching site with only a short paddle to the reef system.
Tossing plastics is the preferred method to target fish up to 5 kilogram.
I’m yet to experience the kayak craze and am quite contented to sit in ‘Stinkpot’ and let my 9hp motor do all the work.
