Affectionately known as The Wally, the Port Stephens legend took the group across the Port into the Myall River, past Tea Gardens, and on up to the Kangaroo Island landing.

The cruising was truly relaxing in very calm warm conditions with a delightful morning tea served on board.

On arrival at the Kangaroo Island wharf, all disembarked for a picnic lunch among the gum trees.

There is always a good turnout of members to these functions and, as usual, many new friendships were made and old friendships continued.

The Port Stephens Friendship Group has been active for more than 20 years.

Members meet on the last Tuesday of each month at West Nelson Bay Diggers at 5pm.

Whether married or alone, male or female, new members are very welcome.
