PSK is asking residents to pop an extra bowl of water out for native animals, particularly those living near koala habitat and bushland, so they have a drinking source on hot days.
The water should be placed away from bowls used by domestic pets.
For pool owners, PSK is asking that they drape a stout rope in their pool so if a koala falls in while accessing the water they can pull themselves out.
Koalas are most active at dawn and dusk. Drivers are asked to keep an eye out for koalas during these time periods.
If you see a koala in need of care phone 0418 775 625 (0418 PSKOALAS).
