The strong Sydney clubs will feature in the play-offs. At the Bay, the Lakes and Forster-Tuncurry clubs will do battle. The Castle Hill and Monash golf clubs will go head-to-head in Sydney in the other semi-final.
Nelson Bay had stellar season in the Super Seniors Pennant, which kicked off in August and involved some 59 clubs from Sydney, Lower Mid North Coast, Hunter, Central Coast, Blue Mountains and Illawarra, and reached the round of 16 in the series.
After going through undefeated in division six the Bay played Penrith. It was a tight match with the mountain men prevailing 4 1/2 to 3 1/2.
Former Penrith rugby league clever five eight Mark Barden finished the series undefeated in his matches for the Nelson Bay team.
Manager Paul Kennedy said he was delighted with the team's overall performance.
