Maggs, one of Australia's up-and-coming pop musicians, is a feature of Im's 21-show Dreamer tour, including the Wests Nelson Bay Diggers gig on October 25.
"I'm so excited to be performing with Dami over the next few months," Maggs said. "She has an incredible talent and I'm looking forward to working with her and learning a lot."
Maggs, 19, spent the past two years of her life amongst the hustle and bustle of the Los Angeles studio scene. Taking influence from modern pop icons Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha, Maggs has developed into a powerful and diverse vocalist, prolific song writer and enigmatic performer.
Finding her way onto Australian radio earlier this year with the tongue and cheek girl-power anthem Lazy Boy with encouraging response, Maggs then launched a new single, Reasons, and first EP, From Me To You.
Reasons, a heart-wrenching power ballad, is co-written by Maggs and members of Sony Music's new super group Darling Brando.
The track is reminiscent of 80's era anthems like Heart's All I wanna do is make love to you and more recently Ellie Gouldings smash hit Love me like you do and tells a familiar story of longing for a love that no longer exists.
Tickets to see Im and Maggs in Nelson Bay on Friday start at $55 at westsnewcastle.com.au. Doors open 7.15pm.
