Thirty Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group supporters gathered at the Sri Malaysian restaurant in Nelson Bay on January 30 for their first get together of 2020.

The group last met in November, so there was much catching up to be covered.
Restaurant owner Jade Lim, who is a great sponsor of the breast cancer support group, served a scrumptious meal as always.
Members of the group held their first meeting for 2020 at Nelson Bay Bowling Club on February 3. This will be followed by morning tea on February 27 at Sienna's for patients both past and present.
Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group provides assistance to residents of the Tomaree Peninsula who have breast cancer.

Tomaree Parkinson's Support Group
Tomaree Parkinson's Support Group will have its first meeting of the year on Thursday, February 20.
The group will meet in the Waratah Room at Tomaree Library and Community Centre from 1.30pm. There will be a meet and greet and light refreshments served.
The guest speaker will Celeste, a Cost of Living Specialist from Service NSW.
Celeste will talk about NSW Government initiatives and the more than 70 rebates and savings available to locals.
Members and friends are welcome to attend the first meeting of the year.
If you feel like a bit of exercise, the group's unique exercise program will be held at the end of the meeting.
The support group meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month in the Waratah Room at the Salamander Bay library.
