Hi Stinker,
My name is Joey Pearce. I'm nine years old. I love fishing for snapper so much. It is my favourite thing to do.
I tell my dad that's all I want to catch. Luckily he wants to catch them too. I really wanted to catch a big one with a bump on its head.
We went fishing [last Sunday]. I was really keen, like always.
Dad and [brother] Ben woke up at 4 o'clock. I woke up at 3 because I was too excited to go.
We went on the northern side of Fingal Island out of the southerly. Ben landed a 60cm snapper first then I landed the next two - a 43cm and then I landed my biggest snapper so far, a huge 50cm one which had a bump on its head.
I love fishing for snapper so much. It is my favourite thing to do.

Very dark clouds came over after that and it started to pour so we headed back to Shoaly and we all got drenched on the way in.
I've got a question for you: do you think a 14 foot tinny with a 30 horsepower motor is big enough to go to Broughton Island? I do. Dad doesn't.
From your mate, Joey.
Stinker's reply: I agree with your dad.
