The lessons for junior members only are provided once a fortnight by qualified coaches James Bellette and Kelly Wildon, from Foreshore Tennis coaching.
"This is a scheme we started last year to encourage kids to enjoy some outdoor activity and by providing them with an opportunity to learn how to play tennis and become an active member of a club, no matter how small or young they are," said club director Helen Love.
Shoal Bay Tennis caters for juniors and intermediates, with beginners and experienced players welcomed to join.
"We also have open tennis for kids and parents on Monday afternoon from 4pm to 5pm. This is for them to practice their skills and enjoy a social game," Love said.
"Our little club is not competitive, we focus more on teaching sportsmanship, skills and enjoyable social interaction associated with club sport."
