Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see the kids out and about fishing, crabbing or simply boating.

The waters of Port Stephens provide an amazing playground, so get the kids out of their rooms, off their iPads and out into the fresh air.
Have you ever thought of buying a boat?
I can't imagine living here without one, considering half of the Port Stephens shire is water.
The boating and fishing options available in Port Stephens are endless.
From Soldiers Point boat ramp, you may choose to motor up Tilligerry Creek or investigate North Arm Cove, Swan Bay, Carrington, Lemon Tree Passage or Oyster Cove.
Take a trip up the Karuah River, under the two bridges and up into the wilds of mangrove country.
Pack some camping equipment and head over to Pindimar, up the Myall River, under the Singing Bridge to the mighty Myall Lakes system where you can pull into Mungo Brush and spend the night under the stars.
For the more adventurous there are always the outer islands to explore from Fingal north to Broughton.
You may wish to stay on Broughton for a night or two. Simply contact NPWS for more details.
How lucky are we!
