By way of compensation there has been plenty of action since restrictions have been lifted and the club reopen for face-to-face play on October 18.
Not only have regular sessions recommenced at the Elizabeth Waring rooms in Tomaree Sports Complex but the club sponsored a competition, the Tomaree Congress, over the last weekend of October that attracted 78 players from across the state for pairs competition and 88 for a teams event.
In addition, teams representing the club in elimination rounds of state competitions have had creditable success against strong opponents.
Now is a good time to register interest in learning to play competition bridge.
Lessons at the club will commence in the new year where you can find out not only why the game is so popular but how the "luck of the deal" is eliminated so that competition is based on knowledge and skill.
Not only that, but this club is a very friendly group of locals!
You can find out how to contact the club and details of our meeting times at: tomaree.bridgeaustralia.org.
