The program funds small projects provides of up to $2000 that commemorate and educate NSW communities about the service and sacrifices of current and former military servicemen and servicewomen.
"The Anzac Community Grants Program provides funding to some great projects and initiatives that recognise Australia's war service history, educate a new generation and support the wellbeing of the NSW veteran community," the Minister for Veterans Affairs, David Elliott, said.
Of the 52 groups that received funding in the latest grants round, Academic & Vocational Training Pty Ltd's application for cash to install a commemorative plaque, seating, lighting to a gazebo and flagpole in Taylors Beach was approved.
The company will receive $1500 for the works.
"The Taylors Beach community has a beautifully maintained park with a gazebo and flagpole," the company said in its grant application.
"Through this project we seek to provide electricity to the gazebo and lighting to the flagpole, together with a plaque at the base of the flagpole.
"We will achieve this by Port Stephens Council committing to connecting electricity from the existing nearby council-owned meter box.
"We also hope to be able to purchase pre-loved bench seating as we have just one bench seat in our park."
The next round of the Anzac Community Grants Program will open in September.
