From the "strongest field of applicants ever received", Fern Bay Public School, Karuah Indigenous Corporation, Salamander Bay Recycling Centre and Tanilba Foreshore Hall were approved for funding.
"It's clear from the record number and quality of applications Hunter Water received that the local community values water and is serious about saving every drop," Minister for Lands and Water, Kevin Anderson, said.
"From irrigation systems, to water tank installations, community gardens and educational models - it's fantastic to see a diverse range of projects promoting water conservation. Congratulations to the 14 successful recipients."
The one-off grants valued up to $10,000 primarily support water conservation and efficiency initiatives, as well as projects with an education, environmental and sustainability focus.
Fern Bay Public School will receive $5000 through the Love Water Grants program to install a water tank and irrigation system.
Karuah Indigenous Corporation (the Aboriginal land council) is one four groups from the 14 across the Lower Hunter that will receive the maximum grant amount, $10,000.
The corporation will use the funds to install 33 small water tanks for each home in the Karuah Mission community.
Salamander Bay Recycling Centre will receive $8,280 for a rain water tank for harvesting.
Tanilba Foreshore Hall, a 355c committee of Port Stephens Council, will receive $9955 for the installation of a water tank as well as required accessories to allow toilets at the hall to be connected to tank water.
Well done to all of the successful recipients," Hunter Water managing director Darren Cleary said.
"Were proud to support our community as we work together to ensure we have a sustainable and resilient water future.
