With several key players missing, they were no match for the slick Dora Creek outfit which ran out 42-16 victors. The Bomboras came into the game with an impressive record after playing five games away from home on the trot. The Bombies managed three wins and two draws.
The visitors dominated possession and territory and with a high completion rate and had a stranglehold on the game by halftime. The depleted Fingal team never gave up with fullback Denam Glasson scoring a magic 40-metre solo try just before full time. Players player went to Rob Bryant who played hooker and had a strong game. Next Saturday Fingal travel to Shortland for another away game.

Nelson bay Rugby Union club produced a day of records at Bill Strong Oval last Saturday defeating University 57-12 to retain the Ben Clarke Shield.
Club stalwart Adam Wells achieved a milestone in his rugby career playing his 250th game for the Gropers, coach Adam Edwards celebrated 100 first grade games, Matt James and Kerrod Mclean also reached their 100 games.
The Bay had a terrific start on the back of the dominate forward pack who controlled the line-outs and scrums and raced in five tries in the first half to lead 29-0 at half time. Halfback Ethan Shaw took players player. Nelson Bay play Lake Macquarie away this Saturday.
