Weather forecasts for early next week point to partly sunny and pleasant conditions with temperatures reaching the mid-20s.
Residents and visitors spending Christmas in the Port can expect much of the same weather on Monday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) and Tuesday, December 25 (Christmas Day).
Boxing Day, December 26, is set to be a scorcher for those planning on spending it outside. The forecast is for mostly sunny conditions and a top of 31 degrees.
On Thursday, December 27, the weather is expected to turn and produce morning rain but temperatures in the high 20s before becoming sunny once again and warm into the weekend.
Temperatures from Friday through to Sunday are predicted to hit the high 20s and 30 degrees.
For those looking to hit the water to beat the heat, Birubi Beach, One Mile Beach and Fingal Beach will have have the flags out and lifeguards and life savers patrolling the beaches.
Lifeguards patrol the Fingal and Birubi beaches during the week between 9am and 5pm.
One Mile Beach is patrolled by lifeguards seven days a week.
