Barry Greentree, aged 90, was last seen at his residence on Sailfish Street about 11am on Thursday, January 17.
Police and his family have concerns for his welfare as he requires regular treatment for a medical condition.
It is believed Mr Greentree could be in or heading towards Tamworth and Casino in a blue Hyundai sedan with NSW registration BSF-74H.
Mr Greentree is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a solid build and fair complexion, about 160cm to 165cm tall, with grey hair and with blue eyes.
Police from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District are urging anyone who sights Mr Greentree, or believes they know his whereabouts, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
