The Bay girls won a hard fought decider 4-3 over Macksville to claim the title. The under 14 girls finished runners-up and the Nelson Bay club finished fourth overall.
The Port’s largest sporting event attracted 2500 players representing 156 teams from Central Coast across the Hunter to Macksville, Dubbo and Orange.
Nelson Bay Touch Association president Nev Gear thanked the wonderful referees, Port Stephens Council [for their ongoing support] and every parent, carer as well as the players for their committed efforts to ensure the tournament ran smoothly.
“They all worked tirelessly over many months leading up and including the weekend, bearing in mind many do not have any family members playing junior rep.”
