Boat ramps and parking areas were full to overflowing. The waterways were alive with craft of all shapes and sizes cruising throughout the port and pouring out through the heads.
The secret is out! Port Stephens is the place to be. Our infrastructure is under immense pressure. Full house at Fingal, Shoal Bay and Birubi.
Stinkermail is red hot with fishing reports and great fishy photos arriving at a fierce rate.
Thumping kingfish and bluefin tuna continue to challenge around Broughton Island while snapper, tailor and mulloway are busy off Fingal Lighthouse.
Inside the port, garfish are going crackers off the Shoal Bay wharf, which is also a great place to jump off, if you are a kid.
Dusky flathead are snoozing in the shallows that rim the port. Sunrise is the time to strike. Toss out and - hang on!
Stockton Beach is boiling with traffic. Surely safety must become an issue. As suggested, our facilities are strained to the limit. I do think it would be a good idea for the local council to discuss the problems with those who are impacted.
