Hosted by Northern NSW Football to "kick-start kids' return to football", the inaugural Fast Five5 One-Dayer will be held at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in Speers Point on Thursday, July 16.
Venue manager Kean Marshall said the event promised to be an exciting day for young footballers.
"What better way for kids to get back into the action and return to football," Marshall said.
"Football Five5 is fast and exciting but, most importantly, fun. The rebound walls for this brand of five-a-side football help create that action-packed sort of style. It doesn't matter what skill or experience level you're at. Anyone can enjoy playing Football Five5.
"Whether their team missed out on football because of COVID-19 or they are looking to get in some extra games for the season, the Fast Five5 One-Dayer is the perfect answer to satisfy young players' hunger for football."
It is hoped the event will attract 40 teams, which can have a maximum of eight players aged 8 to 9 or 10 to 11. The cost is $200 per team.
The five-a-side tournament will begin at 9.30am and finish at 2.30pm.
