The rugby league club is seeking players and a coach for the new women's tackle team, which will join the pre-existing women's league tag and under-19 men's teams.
"We are calling out for all expressions of interest in the coaching positions and would like to make swift appointments so we can get stuck in for 2021."
Anyone interested in coaching for the club in 2021, for any of the three teams, is asked to email nelsonbaysharks@gmail.com.
Nelson Bay Sharks training will kick off at Tomaree No. 1 matchfield on January 12 at 6.30pm.
THE premiership-winning Medowie Marauders men will begin preparing for their title defence with pre-season training on Tuesday, January 12.
Returning and new players are being welcomed to join the Marauders in the 2021 Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union season.
It comes after the Marauders defeated Newcastle favourites The Waratahs 7-3 in the NHRU Rams Cup divisional grand final last year - the club's first title in 20 years and coming in its 40th anniversary season.
Men's training will be held at Boyd Oval, Medowie from 6.30pm.
The Medowie rugby union club's senior women's team began pre-season training on January 5. Returning and new players are also being welcomed to train with the Marauders women at Boyd Oval on Tuesday nights from 6pm.
THE Karuah Roos have kicked off pre-season training in preparation for the 20201 Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League season.
The club has appointed Daniel Evans as the women's tackle coach while Dwayne Fleming has been appointed coach of the men's team. Evans was also elected president of the Karuah Rugby League Football Club in the off-season.
Women's tackle pre-season training will be held at Lionel Morton Oval, Karuah from 5.30pm on Wednesday and Thursdays.
Men's tackle pre-season training will be held at Lionel Morton Oval from 6pm on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Both teams are seeking a First Aid Officer for the 2021 season. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact the club through the Karuah Roos RLFC Facebook page.
MEDOWIE AFL club, Port Stephens Power, will host a registration day at the Ferodale Oval clubhouse on Saturday, February 7 between 10am-2pm.
Online registrations for the 2021 season are now open. The club is seeking children aged 5 to 12 for Auskick, boys and girls for its under-9 to under-17 teams, including under-11 and 13 youth girls sides.
