A man and a woman have been charged over an alleged stabbing in Nelson Bay earlier in March.

Just after 1.30am on Sunday, March 13 emergency services were called to Donald Street, Nelson Bay, following reports of a brawl.
A short time later, officers from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District attended a home in Shoal Bay Road, where they located a 41-year-old man allegedly suffering a number of stab wounds to his back.
Police said officers assisted the man before he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
He has since been released from hospital, police said.
Detectives launched an investigation into how the man came to be injured.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a man and a woman - both aged 26 - at a home in Dungaree Way, Raymond Terrace about 8.30am on Tuesday, March 22.
They were taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both were refused bail and were due to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Tuesday.
