Nelson Bay Legacy Markets
May 1: Neil Carroll Park, Nelson Bay. Time: 9am-2pm.
Second-hand tools and clothes to arthritis cream, candle oils, handicrafts, local produce, art, pottery, plants and cakes. The Nelson Bay Legacy Markets are held the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month.
Tilligerry art and craft market
May 1: 13 Meredith Avenue, Lemon Tree Passage. Time: 8am-12pm. Cost: Free
Just in time for Mother's Day, Tilligerry TAG Gallery will hold its artisan markets. Head along and enjoy the beautiful ambiance of a bush setting and be inspired by the creative vibes of local artisans. Pick up a unique, special and locally made piece. The Lions club will have a sausage sizzle, and there will be live entertainment by ukulele group Lemon Ukelypts and Caitlin Rose on the violin.
Glow in dark fungi walk
May 2 and 9: Hunter Region Botanic Gardens, Heatherbrae. Time: 6pm-8pm. Cost: $25 per adult. Children under 12 free.
